My Day!

January 27 – yan ang araw ng kapanganakan ko. ^^

I was not even planning to celebrate it.

God is really good to me. That ordinary day turned out to be so special. I realized, I still have my FAMILY.

I realized that l still have them. They are my pillar of strength.

I was in pain for several days but the people around me made me feel that I’m blessed with so many things.

After a couple of days… nagkaroon pa ako ng birthday surprise…

Thanks to my beloved friends... isa sila sa mga taong kinukunan ko ng lakas.... They saw me at worst and at my best and still they love me. Andyan lang sila at handang umalalay...

Buti pa nga sila nabibigyan ako ng bouquet of flowers.

Despite of what I’ve been through, I still have all the reason to smile… to live… I still have the support and love of the people who’s always been there for me. Marami man akong sakit na mapagdaanan, I know I’ll survive because of them….

Happy birthday to me! ^^

Love, Love, Love

I was once a beneficiary of Samahang Mapagkalinga. I started joining this group when I was in Grade 4. When I was a kid, I didn’t see the importance of this group to me. All I know was they were helping my parents with fees and school supplies. But the financial help stopped since our benefactors stopped sending us the money that we need for school.

The foundation didn’t stop there. Our Brother Servant Benny Cruz exposed us to another world- the world of God. He sent us to different recollections and retreats. I was also given the chance to teach Catechism to the kids in the community. These exposures helped and mold me to the person that I am right now.

I was once thought that I want to become a nun to serve Him fully. I thought I had the calling but I realized that I don’t need to be inside the church to serve Him. I was able to serve Him through the foundations and charities I joined.
Last week of January, I met Real LifeFoundation through a friend, Gladys. The said foundation provides assistance to unprivileged Filipinos through scholarships and converts them via community services.

If you are interested to help through Real Life Foundation, there are many ways to give:
1.       Adopt a Scholar
2.       Feed a hungry child
3.       Donate goods

Note: You can visit this site if you are interested: http://igivetolife.com/

My friends (Gladys and Kate) and I chose to join the Feeding program. The feeding program is from 8am-12nn every Saturday morning but need to register first with Real Life office since they can only accommodate 20 volunteers every Saturday.  We paid Php250 which covered the cost of the volunteer shirt and the food for the children. We also had the chance to play and talk to these kids.

I remember myself through their eyes. I believe that one day; these kids will also help others in the future. Real Life Foundation will help them change their community to become a better place.

Mt. Batulao - My First Mountaineering Experience (Nov 19-20, 2011)

MT. BATULAO
Nasugbu, Batangas
Jump-off point: Evercrest Golf Course, Nasugbu
LLA: 14.0408 N 120.8011 E 811 MASL
Days required / Hours to summit: 1 day / 2-4 hours
Specs: Minor climb, Difficulty 4/9, Trail class 3 with 60-70 degrees assault

My first mountaineering experience was in Mt. Batulao. (Actually nakarating na ako  dito a couple of years ago for a pilgrimage. I didn’t expect that I’ll come back to this place to explore it.) I was super excited that time coz finally, I’ll be fulfilling one of my dreams to – to do mountaineering.  I was with my new found friends in Cavite.

We left Dasma, Cavite pass 12 in the afternoon (November 19, 2011). After a couple of hours, we reached Evercrest and registered our names. Then we started our trek. We took the OLD TRAIL (East)

To regain our energies, we had several stop overs (Mabenta sa amin ang Mirinda at buko juice) That was also our time to chit chat and make fun of ourselves.

We paid Php20 and registered our names in a logbook. We stayed overnight in station 5. Naglaro kami while having our drinking session (empi light with iced tea).

The following morning, picture taking agad ang inasikaso.

Since injured ang isang kasamahan namin, kaming mga girls lang (me, Joan and Mel) and Macus lang ang nag-decide na i-try akyatin ang summit. Funny part, dinaan ko sa charm para makahingi ng tulong or alalay from other trekkers pati na rin ang magpa-picture sa kanila.

Sad to say but we failed to reach the summit. After eating, pahinga naman ulet - welcome siesta.

Time to leave the station but before we left, we had our last pictorial sessions. hahaha...

This experience taught me a lot of things:
  1. Simple things really rock! \m/
  2. God is so great!!!
  3. Appreciate how wonderful our life is
  4. Live life!

I know I will come back to this place again and hopefully to reach the summit. ^^

The 2nd Philippine International Pyromusical Competition

March 5, 2011 - First time that I watched the Pyromusical Competition held in MOA. Together with my beloved friends, we watched the lovely fireworks by the bay. Though it was raining that time, it didn't stop us from watching the event.

We arrived around 4PM to save seats. Took some pictures of the sea and sunset. Had a nice conversation and laugh trip with them. The event didn't start right away due to the rain. We had to wait a couple of minutes more. Honestly, we are not even sure if that will push through or not.

Japan started the competition. I enjoyed their show as it showcased a colorful presentation. Creative with the smileys and different color of fireworks presented. For me, never a dull moment while watching it. My favorites part was when they played the song "I see trees are green... Red roses too... I see them blue for me and you... And I think to myself... What a wonderful world".

Canada came in next, it was a like a gloomy presentation. The exhibition of fireworks didn't look good either due to the smoke that was covering them. It was a short presentation too. The song that they chose was kinda classy. It didn't catch our attention as an audience.

For me, the winner that night would be Japan since they were able to manage my expectation as a viewer. Now I'm thinking if I will watch the last presentation on March 12, 2011... Let's wait and see...

I don't know where to start... I don't know what to feel...

A lot of things are happening to me right now.... things that aren't planned or asked. People can easily judge and assume that you are someone that you are not. I believe that we can't really please everyone. I also know that only a few people you know will truly appreciate and accept the real you. I want to live my life not thinking of what other people would say about me but at the end of the day, regardless of how I want it to be that way... that is not always the case. Some may intentionally bother to hurt and ruin your being.

I may be judged and misunderstood but I know who I am. I don't need a lot of people around me... I only need a few that understands, supports and loves me. People that knows my innermost desires and dreams...
